Testing Procedures
Cassette Testing
· Place cassette on a clean, level surface.
· Add 3 drops of urine to specimen well.
· Wait for colored line(s) to appear.
· Read results at 5 minutes.
Panel Testing
· Immerse panel with arrows pointing downwards for 10-15 seconds.
· Place on flat, dry surface.
· Read results at 5 minutes.
Cup Testing
· Collect urine and secure cap.
· Check temperature strip (32-38°C range).
· Peel off result label at 5 minutes.
Interpretation of Results
|
Positive: Only one colored band appears in (C). No band in (T). Drug concentration is above the cut-off level.
Negative: Two colored bands appear (C and T). Drug concentration is below the cut-off level.
Invalid: Control band (C) fails to appear. Discard test and repeat with a new kit.
